Ali Soroush, MD, MS, serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. With expertise in biostatistics, epidemiology, data science, and clinical informatics, he holds joint appointments in the Dr. Henry D. Janowitz Division of Gastroenterology and the Division of Data-Driven and Digital Medicine (D3M). His research centers on utilizing large language models for structured data extraction, enhancing benchmarking methods for these models, and developing AI-driven tools for GI cancer risk stratification using extensive real-world datasets. Committed to advancing safe, equitable, and practical AI solutions, Dr. Soroush aims to enhance healthcare quality while reducing costs. In addition to his service on the ASGE AI Advisory Council, he also plays a key role in shaping AI policy and strategy as a member of the steering committee for the AGA Center for GI Innovation and Technology.
