Advocating for policies that support the integration of AI in healthcare is vital. The Institute will engage with policymakers, regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to shape regulation that promote innovation while ensuring patient safety and privacy.
Standards & Safety
A critical element of AI integration into GI is to establish robust safety protocols and standards to uphold patient well-being and quality of care. The intersection of patient quality metrics and artificial intelligence (AI) represents a powerful opportunity to enhance healthcare delivery, improve patient experience and outcomes. AI can be leveraged to collect, analyze and interpret patient data for improved quality metrics.
Practice Operations
By optimizing resources, streamlining workflows and leveraging predictive analytics, AI can enhance efficiency, reduce wait times and prevent complications, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
Through strategic partnerships with stakeholders of AI technologies, the Institute will leverage latest AI solutions to increase practice efficiencies, address the staffing crisis and enhance staff and patient satisfaction to ensure high-quality care.
Convener
For the past five years, ASGE has served as the convener, gathering physicians, AI experts, innovators, industry representatives and regulators to discuss and develop consensus on the application of AI in GI endoscopy. ASGE remains committed to this role, facilitating collaboration and progress in the field.
