AI Scholars Program
Now Accepting 2026-2027 AI Scholars Applications
Application deadline is Monday, July 6
Message From Program Directors
Dear Colleagues,
The ASGE AI Institute is accepting nominations and applications for the Class of 2026-2027 cohort of the AI Scholars Program. This year-long program builds an early-career community of gastroenterology fellows and faculty advancing the responsible, evidence-based, and equitable integration of AI across the full range of GI practice settings. Scholars develop across a diverse set of tracks, with mentorship from program faculty and industry partner experts.
The program runs approximately 9 months, including three in-person convenings: the Scholars Weekend and AI Summit (September), the Day Workshop at ASGE IT&T (January), and DDW presentations (May). Program funds cover travel and registration for the September and January events; institutions are responsible for DDW travel and registration.
ASGE will accept 10 individuals for the program for the Class of 2026-2027. Applicants from all practice contexts and career stages are welcome to apply. Institutional AI infrastructure is not a prerequisite. The program description, time and resource commitment, and a nomination form all can be found at the AIGI Institute site.
Complete application forms must be submitted by Tuesday, June 30.
ASGE is committed to helping develop AI leaders in Gastroenterology. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Christine Pondelicek at cpondelicek@asge.org.
Sincerely,

Sravanthi Parasa, MD, FASGE
2026-2027 AI Scholars Program Director
