AI Scholars Program
Message From Program Directors
Dear Colleagues,
ASGE is launching its AI Scholar’s program. This one-year training program is specifically designed to develop expertise and skills for conducting innovative, high-quality AI-related research in gastroenterology, closely aligning with the strategic pillars outlined by aiforgi.org. Scholars are immersed in mentored research projects, collaborating directly with partners to address critical AI applications within gastrointestinal (GI) contexts. The training equips scholars to perform timely and relevant research that not only addresses real-world GI problems but also provides actionable insights to foster positive change. Throughout their training, scholars benefit from dedicated mentorship provided by an interdisciplinary team comprising program faculty, other university faculty, and experienced partners, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience grounded in the current needs and future directions of gastroenterological AI research.
ASGE will be accepting 10 individuals for the program this year. We need your help in selecting the appropriate candidates for the Class of 2025. The program description, time and resource commitment, and a nomination form all can be found at the AIGI Institute site.
Complete application forms must be submitted by June 27th.
ASGE is committed to helping develop AI leaders in Gastroenterology. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Christine Pondelicek at [email protected].
Sincerely,

Sravanthi Parasa, MD, FASGE
2025 AI Scholars Program Director
